These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to your use of the GoToMyControls website and to security, fire alarm, smart home, video surveillance, and monitoring services provided by GoToMyControls.com Inc.(“we,” “us,” or “our”). By using our website, requesting a quote, or purchasing our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
A separate written service agreement, monitoring agreement, or work order may also apply to your account. If there is a conflict between these Terms and a signed customer agreement, the signed agreement controls for that specific service.
GoToMyControls provides alarm system sales, installation, repair, inspection, and monitoring services for residential and commercial properties in Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach counties (statewide Florida service available). Services may include burglar alarms, fire alarm systems, video surveillance, smart home automation, and 24/7 professional monitoring through authorized partners.
We are an Alarm.com authorized dealer and work with established monitoring providers. Features available at your property depend on equipment, building requirements, carrier coverage, and applicable codes.
Quotes and consultations are provided in good faith based on information you supply and our initial assessment. Final pricing may change if site conditions, code requirements, equipment needs, or scope of work differ from what was originally described.
Appointment times are estimates. We will make reasonable efforts to arrive within scheduled windows and to notify you of delays when possible.
You agree to:
Alarm and monitoring systems are designed to reduce risk, but no system can prevent all crimes, fires, or losses. You remain responsible for maintaining appropriate property insurance and emergency planning.
If you enroll in professional monitoring, your signals may be handled by a third-party monitoring center. Monitoring response depends on working equipment, communication paths, accurate contact information, and external factors outside our control — including emergency dispatcher availability, weather, and telecommunications outages.
You are responsible for testing your system as recommended, replacing batteries when needed, and ensuring monitoring contact information remains up to date.
Payment terms for equipment, installation, and monitoring will be disclosed before service begins. Unless otherwise stated in writing, invoices are due upon completion of installation or according to the billing schedule on your service agreement.
Monitoring fees, taxes, permit costs, and additional service visits may apply. Late or returned payments may result in suspension of non-essential services or monitoring, subject to applicable law and your signed agreement.
We do not require long-term contracts for many monitoring plans, but specific cancellation terms depend on the services you select and any signed agreement. Please contact us before canceling so we can explain any equipment return requirements, final billing, or monitoring deactivation steps.
We may refuse or discontinue service for unsafe conditions, repeated non-payment, abuse of staff, or misuse of equipment or communication systems.
Equipment may be covered by manufacturer warranties. Our workmanship and service warranties, if any, will be described in your proposal or service agreement.
Except as expressly stated in a written agreement, services and website content are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, GoToMyControls.com Inc. and its owners, employees, and contractors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, data loss, or property damage arising from use of our website or services — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability for any claim relating to services or this website is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific service giving rise to the claim during the twelve (12) months before the event, unless a higher limit is required by applicable law.
You may use our website for lawful purposes only. You may not attempt to interfere with site security, scrape content without permission, submit false information, or use the site in any way that could harm GoToMyControls, our customers, or third parties.
All website content, branding, logos, and materials are owned by or licensed to GoToMyControls.com Inc. and may not be copied or reused without written permission.
Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, including our SMS Privacy Policy. By using our services, you acknowledge that policy.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or our services shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and you consent to that jurisdiction.
